The Cotentin Tourist Train is run by volunteers, passionate and eager to preserve therailway heritage of the region. In the past, this line was direct from Carteret to Paris Saint Lazare. Today, this 10 km trip connects Carteret and Portbail, through the seaside resorts of Saint-Jean and Saint-Georges-de-la-Rivière. The 1950’s train will take you through wild sandy moors and pasture land as well as past examples of the rich Norman architecture.
